The CET registration for postgraduate programs at the university has begun and will remain open until May 25, 2024. Please note that Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has implemented the CET+MERIT criteria for postgraduate admissions starting from the 2024-25 academic year. Each postgraduate program has well-defined eligibility criteria. For detailed information, please refer to the PG Brochure 2024-25. Generally, for all PG courses (excluding those with specific eligibility mark requirements), a minimum of 50% marks for the general category and 45% for the reserved category is required for admission. According to University Ordinance Rule No. 1381:
Other University (OU): Candidates who do not belong to the Home University (HU) and have completed their Bachelor’s degree from a university other than Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, or an equivalent examination, are eligible for admission to the first semester of postgraduate courses in subjects they have studied.
Other State (OS): Candidates who have completed their Bachelor’s degree from a university outside of Maharashtra State.
Additionally, subject-specific minimum eligibility conditions apply to students.
There shall be supernumerary seats for the below mentioned candidates as per the directions received from the central and state governments and other competent authorities from time to time:
i. NRI Candidates
ii. Foreign Candidates
iii. Person of Indian Origin (P.I.O) iv. Jammu and Kashmir (J & K) candidates
The CET registration fee is Rs. 200 for the OPEN category and Rs. 100 for all reservation categories (SC, ST, NT - A/B/C/D, OBC, VJNT, SBC, including EWS & SEBC – Socially and Economically Backward Classes). Fees must be paid online using UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet banking. Upon successful payment, a fee receipt will be automatically generated in your account. Yes, hostel accommodations are available for students. Allotment depends on the guidelines set by Central and State Government policies for pandemics or any other disasters. Due to a limited number of seats, hostel accommodation cannot be guaranteed for all students. Candidates are advised to personally verify the availability of hostel space, hostel fees, and other details from the Director, Principal, or HOD of the institute at the time of admission. Requests from specially-abled candidates and Jammu and Kashmir migrant candidates will be given priority as per directives.
The format of CET Question paper is very simple and it is comprised of 50 Multiple choice questions. Each Question will carry 2 Marks.
As per guidelines of university and directives of PG Admission process guidelines 50% Weightage to be given to CET and 50% Weightage to be given Sem-V & Sem VI (Final year) of the concern (Optional) subject. Accordingly the merit list shall be prepared.
